Volunteer Drivers

This section will list residents who are willing to provide a Volunteer Driver service to drive other residents to Medical or other Personal Appointments. Also listed, is the make and type of vehicle each driver has access to. As some residents will have special needs regarding transport, i.e. lower seating to access, space for a wheelchair or walker.

If you have an urgent transport need that family or friends cannot assist you you can try one of our volunteers. Check the list of drivers and choose one who has the type of vehicle you require. Remember we all lead busy lives, and the first person you contact may not be available on the day/time required. If so, try another.

It will be for negotiation whether any  money changes hands. You should not expect a 'free ride' every time.
